Raymond Di Gregorio graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts -Honours in History in 1981 and then went on to pursue a Journalism degree at the University of Ryerson. After graduating in 1983, Ray worked as a journalist with the Hamilton Spectator. He was awarded the Western Ontario Newspaper Award for Spot News Reporting and had the honour of being appointed election editor for provincial and federal coverage. In addition, Ray is the former vice-president of the Hamilton chapter of the Ontario Newspaper Guild.

In the early 90’s Ray changed his career path and ultimately graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 1995 where he was awarded the Constitutional Law Award. Ray was called to the bar in 1997 after completing his articles with a well-respected Hamilton firm.

Ray’s primary area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, insurance litigation, family law and contractual disputes. He also maintains a real estate practice and acts on behalf of government agencies/ministries.

Ray has appeared at the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, Federal Court Trial Division and the Federal Court of Appeal. He also has a wealth of experience appearing before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario as well as other administrative tribunals and regulatory bodies. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Hamilton Law Association.

Ray is a member of the Knights of Columbus and he has done pro bono work for various neighbourhood associations and organizations. He has been a speaker at environmental conferences regarding Landfill and Waste Management and he coaches soccer for the Ontario Soccer Association.
